Immerse yourself in history, art and culture at our popular Lunchtime Lectures. Doors open at 12.45. Lectures begin at 13.15 and last approximately one hour.

Biographer Edmund Gordon looks at the life and work of Angela Carter, widely acknowledged as one of the most important and beguiling writers of the last century. He will examine how she invented herself – as a new kind of woman and a new kind of writer – and how she came to write such seductive works as The Bloody Chamber, Nights at the Circus and Wise Children.
